As president and CEO of Veolia Environnement North America, Terry Mah leads the water, energy and waste management activities of VE's North American zone, which has approximately 10,000 employees and generates revenue of approximately $2 billion.
Mr. Mah has a unique global perspective on water and environmental issues. He most recently served as chief operating officer, Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies, International Municipal (which includes the Nordic countries, Baltic countries, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Middle East, China and Southeast Asia) and, from 2007 to 2012, he served as executive vice president of one of Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies' global regions. In both roles, Mr. Mah was responsible for the management of the Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies businesses in those countries, as well as for special corporate global assignments.
Prior to that, he served as managing director for Veolia group water technology providers Krüger A/S in Denmark from 2007 to 2010, and as president of Kruger, Inc. in the United States from 2000 to 2005. Before joining Kruger, Mr. Mah worked in the areas of strategic planning, business development, research and development, engineering, consulting and finance for U.S. and Canadian technology companies.
Mr. Mah has extensive experience in developing and commercializing innovative technologies as well as in project management. He holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in microbiology and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in applied science from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
